The Speed Force Racing RX-8 turbo system(tuner kit) consists of: a 321SS header with an F1 stlye double slip-fit connection, T-4 turbocharger, turbo mounting bracket,stainless oil feed and return lines,Tial 46mm wastegate,304SS down pipe with v-band clamp assemblies, 304SS waste gate dump tube, aluminum intake and intercooler piping,Spearco intercooler,Tial 50mm blow-off valve,silicone hoses and stainless clamps,battery relocation kit, K&N air filter. Our complete system includes everything in the tuner kit plus: a pre-programmed Powermod engine management system with boost control solenoid and RC 550CC injectors. This system makes 326 rear wheel horsepower at 9 psi of boost on 93 octane pump fuel.
Every item in the Speed Force Racing turbo system is hand fabricated here in the USA.The 321SS header is Tig welded and back purged to cope with the tremendous heat that rotaries can produce.We use a mounting bracket for the turbo to prevent the header from cracking due to the weight of the heavy T-4 turbo.All of the intake and intercooler piping is mandrel bent 6061 aluminum which dissipates heat better then any other metal of choice for this application.
A cold air intake is part of the package.We understand that it is important to get as much cold air into that turbo as possible.We located the airfilter in the front of the car so it gets as much cold air as possible. Details like this is what makes the Speed Force Racing turbo system superior to anything else being offered for the fourth generation RX-8.
