All of our heads are dissassembled and inspected then treated to a chemical dip to prepare them for porting and machining. All of our intake and exhuast (where applicable) porting is done by hand. Flow-bench testing is available upon request (additional charge).
The intake ports have an incredible textured finish to help with atomization of the fuel.We have found that by doing this textured finish, we see big gains in horsepower. The exhaust ports on the otherhand are finished to a polished like smoothness to help evacuate the exhaust gases.
Every SFR head receives new OEM bronze guides and valve stem seals.The cylinder head is then machined on a Serdi head machine.The seats are given a 3 angle cut and then the valves are lapped.The head is then surfaced to an RA50 finish or better. Finally, the heads are then cleaned and assembled.
All of our 944 N/A cylinder heads for the 944 turbo utilize the 944 turbo valvetrain. These heads are designed to be used on the 944 turbo.If you need a head for an N/A application, please inform at the time of purchase.
944T +2mm big valve head
All of our big valve N/A cylinder heads for the 944 turbo feature the same port and polish,head surfacing,new guides and seals as our standard heads.We also utilize 2mm oversize intake and exhaust valves, stiffer springs and new retainers.In order to use a valve this large,new seats had to be installed on the head. The head and valves are then treated to a 5 angle cut.A big valve head like this is capable of 500+ WHP!
